Ever since I got the missing part, it has been functioning exceptionally well and has prevented any moisture from entering my basement!

Compact and efficient

I made the decision to purchase this product approximately one month ago. My previous dehumidifier, the 70 quart Frigidaire, had ceased functioning. So far, I am extremely pleased with my new 50 quart dehumidifier. Despite the harsh summer conditions, it has successfully controlled the moisture in my 1,000 square foot basement. I have it programmed to run continuously and drain into my sump. I suggest using a different garden hose rather than the tubing that comes with the product. Although I haven't had it running for long enough to assess its energy consumption, I have no complaints about its performance thus far. I will keep you updated.

Great Humidifier

Our basement is nearly 200 years old and has stone walls. During spring and summer, it tends to stay quite damp. However, this dehumidifier works wonders in keeping it completely dry. I highly recommend it.

Basement smells fresh

I decided to go for the bigger hose that was suggested and my husband was really happy about it. He even elevated it above the level of the sump pump and had it set up for continuous draining. The fan is always on and I'm not sure if it's energy efficient, but my old cement basement that used to smell musty now smells fresh and dry overnight. It may have cost me a pretty penny, but it's definitely worth it.
